Our methodology
Every rate on this site is re-verified monthly against the lender's own website. The current cycle is November 2026, checked on November 1, 2026: 29 products across 16 banks — 20 OFFICIAL_VERIFIED and 9 QUOTE_REQUIRED.
Monthly re-verification
Once a month, every product in our directory is checked again against the lender's own published rate page. Figures that can no longer be confirmed lose their verified status — they are never carried forward on old data. The current verification cycle is November 2026, checked November 1, 2026.
What the two tiers mean
- OFFICIAL_VERIFIED (20 products): the rate was found on the lender's own website during the current cycle and can be ranked.
- QUOTE_REQUIRED (9 products): the lender publishes no rate for this product — it prices individually by application or state, or lends through dealers. These products are listed for completeness but are never ranked on invented figures.
How comparisons are ranked
Comparisons rank by true total cost: monthly payment × term + fees. Not by headline APR alone — a lower APR with a big fee can cost more than a higher APR with no fee, and the monthly payment alone hides what a longer term really costs.
What published rates are — and aren't
APR figures on this site are each lender's published starting rate: the floor they advertise, usually assuming excellent credit and sometimes an autopay or relationship discount. They are not personalized offers. Your actual rate will depend on your credit profile, income, down payment, and the lender's underwriting — and where a rate only applies under specific conditions, we say so next to the number.
Educational, not financial advice
All content on this site is educational — it helps you understand loan payments, APR, interest costs, and repayment options. It is not financial advice, and this site is not a lender or broker.
